SQAI serves world-renowned semiconductor and electronics customers through

Headquartered in Penang, SQAI is a pioneering Malaysian manufacturer of Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC) and Integrated Circuit Substrates (ICS), with a distinguished legacy dating back to its establishment in 1993.
The Group operates two advanced, highly automated manufacturing facilities strategically located in Bayan Lepas and Batu Kawan, Penang, delivering end-to-end solutions spanning circuit design, prototyping, high-volume production, and precision assembly.
SQAI expanded its international footprint with the establishment of its manufacturing facility in Xiamen, China in 2005 under the Suiwa Group. Today, this facility strengthens the Group’s regional production network and enhances its ability to serve global customers with greater efficiency and scale.

Corporate Milestones

1993 — 1999Foundation
Established the Group’s manufacturing capabilities with pilot production of flexible printed circuits (FPC) in Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia. Qdos Flexcircuits Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated, and land was secured in Bayan Lepas, Penang to support future expansion.

2000 — 2004Capacity Expansion
in PenangExpanded production capabilities with the completion of the Bayan Lepas plant and relocation of FPC manufacturing operations. FPC design activities were also introduced at the Bayan Lepas facility.

2005 — 2010International Expansion
to XiamenExpanded into China with the incorporation of Suiwa High Technology Electronic Industries (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. The Xiamen manufacturing facility was completed and commenced operations, strengthening the Group’s regional presence.

2011 — 2017Technological Advancement(FPCA vertical integration, Semi Additive Technology R&D)
Enhanced engineering capabilities through FPCA vertical integration and continued investment in semi-additive technology R&D. Expanded into advanced interconnect solutions with the incorporation of Qdos Interconnect Sdn. Bhd. for IC substrate development.

2018 — 2025Establishment of Batu Kawan
IC Substrate facilityCompleted the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Batu Kawan, Penang, supporting IC substrate production and future growth.
